Settle the Layout and Products
Start by showing us what is awkward in the bathroom you use now. The shower entrance may be cramped, the basin may have no storage or the bath may no longer suit the household. Explain the result you want before choosing every product. We can work through the main fittings and useful space with you at a home appointment in Aberdeen.
Our bathroom installation service brings design, supply and fitting together. The layout needs room for a person at the basin, doors and drawers to open, and comfortable entry to the bath or shower. Existing windows, drainage and other connections are part of that discussion. The chosen products should fit the measured room and the way you will use it.
Keep the selected sizes and versions with the current quotation. If you spot another product you prefer, speak to us before buying or substituting it. A different depth, screen opening or connection can affect other parts of the plan. Agreeing those details before fitting gives the job a clear starting point and avoids separate conversations describing different versions of the same bathroom.
Plan the Route Into the Room

The bathroom measurements do not show the whole route for deliveries. Tell us about stairs, narrow turns, shared entrance doors or restrictions on access to your Aberdeen home. A large fitting has to reach the room, and the agreed old items have to come out. Raise any uncertainty when arranging the visit so the practical route can be discussed with the proposed products.
Discuss where materials can wait without blocking the way through the home. Shared landings and escape routes need to stay clear. If access depends on building arrangements or another resident, explain that before work is agreed. Avoid promising storage or entry that you cannot provide. We need the actual arrangements for your address, including anything that affects carrying products through the property.
Before the agreed fitting date, move personal belongings from the route and working area as discussed. Tell us about anything delicate that needs particular care. Household preparation does not mean dismantling connected fittings or opening up the room yourself. Leave removal and installation tasks to the people carrying out the agreed work.
Discuss Daily Life During Fitting
Tell us at the first conversation if this is your only bathroom or toilet. Explain which facilities the household relies on and whether another bath, shower or toilet is available. That information helps the discussion about the work and the arrangements you need to make. A fitting timetable should relate to your actual room, chosen products and agreed preparation.
Ask about the main stages and their effect on washing, bathing and toilet use. Removal, work on the connections, surface preparation and fitting the new suite can interrupt normal use. Some finishes also need time before they can be used. We discuss the order of work and how it affects your facilities. The time needed for another installation does not tell you how long your own room will take.
Separate the proposed start date from the time spent fitting. Product deliveries and household plans need to work with the agreed arrangements. Keep everyday toiletries, medicines and towels somewhere accessible outside the work area. Make suitable arrangements for children and pets too, and let us know if a change in household circumstances affects what has been discussed.
Use the Handover to Learn the Fittings

At completion, we check the installed products, drainage and agreed finishes, and explain relevant use and care. Ask us to show any unfamiliar shower controls, screen opening or storage feature. Try the ordinary actions while they can be explained. You should understand how to use the bathroom you have chosen, without guessing from the controls or fittings that were there before.
Keep instructions for the products supplied together. A different wall finish, screen or tap may need different care. Follow that information when choosing cleaning products and looking after seals or surfaces. Mention any point you want clarified during the handover. If several people use the bathroom, make sure the useful instructions are available to them as well.
If you notice a problem afterwards, describe the fitting and what happens when you use it. Photographs or the product details may help explain the question. You do not need to attempt an adjustment or repair before contacting us. Keep the relevant quote and product information so the discussion relates to the actual installation and the item supplied.
Keep the Agreed Information Together
Use the latest room plan, product list and quotation as one record of the job. If a finish changes, or further work is needed after removal, have the change explained and agreed before it proceeds. We discuss what has been found and the effect on the proposed work. Keep any revised price with the same information so it is clear which bathroom is being fitted.
Agree who we should contact if a decision is needed while work is underway. That is especially useful when one person arranges access and another chooses the products. Tell us if the agreed contact or access arrangements change. Clear communication helps a question reach the person who can answer it and keeps a proposed change separate from work already agreed.
Our bathroom fitting cost guide explains how to read the products, preparation and finishes in your quotation. Read it alongside your fitting plan, then bring us any questions about the room or work. We design, supply and install the agreed bathroom, with the choices and tasks explained before you decide to proceed.
